Fishermen like to share their catch or experiences from the Beiar river. In this photo competition, if you win, you can choose either the legendary Abu Garcia golden reel, or the infamous Cascapedia by Hardy. Fishermen who wish to fish the river while quarantined, have suddenly become an issue we need to solve. Authorities have changed the restrictions regarding quarantine, and now swedes from red zones, among others, want to fish - even in quarantine. Sadly, that will not be allowed as of this blog being posted.

Finally! Our free to use rods have arrived! From tomorrow, and throughout the season, anyone under the age of 16 can borrow good salmon rods! Beiarelva SA has spoons, so anyone can fish, without spending a dime!

From July 14th, lasting the rest of the season, the Beiar river has been given an extra limit of 200 fish. The fishing will start from 06:00 tomorrow, and last until the fish are caught!

The salmon office at Storjord has hired new hosts! This year, the two brothers Sigve and Andreas Strand are ready to welcome fishermen and tourists in Beiarn! They will be here all summer, ready to help you out, whether you need fishing advice, places to eat, or accommodation in our beautiful village.
