Soløy is the lowest zone in the eastern side of the river. It is popular among experienced sea trout fishermen, but the potential of this stretch of river is often wasted. Many days of the season, you can end up having the whole river to yourself, and fish all through the night.
The access to fish is pretty much always the same, regardless of water levels. Even with low water levels, you can experience the Beiar river’s best fishing at the sandbanks close to the sea. Most people fish with either a fly rod, or worms, but spin fishing has a lot of potential in the deep pockets close to the sea.
The zone stretches from Dalan, up to the Moldjord border, and down to Mulhammaren which is the border to the ocean. There are several parking lots along the zone, and the zone has its own grillhouse/shelter with a grill, toilet and parking. There is also a very accessible area facilitated for camping. Fishermen and others alike can park their caravans, mobile homes or pitch tents here! You can also get power for a cheap price!
